Hello,

Registration for Greenbelt Training Race Series Week 1 will open at noon today, Wednesday, April 26

We will be using a new internal registration process.  For you it's the same procedure as last year...reg on bikereg, show your licence, pin on the number.

For us, we need to close registration at 4:00 pm on race day.

The race times have changed in response to racers and volunteer input.  The C will remain as is, and all other races will be as close to 45 minutes as logistics allow.  Most likely, 45 minutes plus the end of the lap.  Time may be adjusted for an early sunset, but not for more daylight.

Center line rule.  This should be its own email, and the subject really should be raised week to week.  We run the risk of losing the US Park Service permit if there is a violation of the center line rule.

On behalf of R1V and NCVC, I hope you all have a great season,

Pete Van Riper

Good point to bring up on the day of schedule.
The weekly schedule for the duration of the season will be:

First set of races at 6ish will be Open C and Open Women
And the Open B and Open A will be separated by a minute or two..

Very similar to the years prior to last year with the addition of the Open Women field.

Volunteers are always welcome.  Please reach out to me directly at peteva...@gmail.com.  Options are road marshall for duration of the races, or helping registration that will allow you to race the B or A races.  There is a race voucher for your efforts to help out.

And to answer Mike, we are set for at least the first three weeks with high confidence for the remainder of the season

Hello Eddie,

Thanks for flagging.  I’ll get on it asap.  This is the first notice, but there are A men registered.

I’ll reply as soon as I have an update

Hi Pete,

Big thanks to you, Route 1 and NCVC for putting on this series.

I wanted to flag that there appears to be a bug in the BikeReg registration system whereby selecting 'A Open Race' adds the 'A/B/Women' selection to the basket - the result is that Men are blocked from completing registration. I tried this on mobile and desktop browsers.

Screenshot as follows below, and apologies if others have brought this to your attention already.
Best wishes,
Eddie
