Hi everyone,

On behalf of the Charlottesville Racing Club, we are pleased to announce that the registration for the Jefferson Cup Road Race is open: https://www.bikereg.com/jeff-cup

Jeff Cup will be Sunday, April 26, following UVA Cycling's Cavalier Criterium around the football stadium on Saturday the 25th. Registration is not yet open for the Cavalier Crit (https://www.bikereg.com/cavalier-criterium). We are striving to bring back some of the festival atmosphere of the earlier Charlottesville Criterium.

We are partnering with a brand new venue this year, Bellair Farms, which has a spectacular event space! Their farm store will be open for us specially on Sunday, and we plan to bring a food truck for your post-ride meal/spectating needs. We are also reintroducing modest cash purses this year: $500/3 for men's and womens cat 1-3, and $250/3 for men's 3/4 and women's 4/novice. We have added various categories, so Jeff Cup is back on the Virginia Cycling Association BAR!

For those of you planning to race both events that weekend, we'll be providing more info on a booking discount at neighboring Wintergreen Resort. April 25 is the date of a major festival in Charlottesville (TomTom Founders Festival) and the Foxfield horse races north of Charlottesville, so we encourage you to use the discount code to experience the resort. Everyone who stays at the resort will receive a $10 off coupon code for the Wintergreen Ascent (May 16).

Speaking of which, the early bird for the Wintergreen Ascent (https://www.bikereg.com/wintergreen-ascent) ends Feb. 1 at midnight, when the price increases from $30 to $45. So don't delay! More than 40 cyclists have already signed up, and we are expecting one of the largest turnouts in the history of the race. There is a $750/5 purse for the top 5 male and female finishers, regardless of category.
