Ourgrade 1 geometry worksheets focus on identifying and drawing two dimensional shapes: squares, rectangles, circles, triangles, ovals and diamonds (rhombuses). We also cover rotating and scaling shapes and introduce 3D shapes.

Good morning all, I am trying to use the labels for profile geometry points along an alignment to label the high points and low points. I got grade change label to work perfectly but cannot figure out the high and low point labels. Has anyone else been using these with any success? I was able to get it to label the overall high point, but not the intermediate high points? We are using civil 3d 2013, thanks in advance.


What kind of label are you using? You could use a reference label to do this, but I'm not sure this is what you are looking for. Another possible solution is turn on the 3D chain in model and using grips add points. Only problem with this is it does not work well with curves and based on the accuracy settings, yout elevation and station could be off.


I do beleive I am using a reference text? I go to edit alignment labels, for label type I choose Profile Geometry Points, I choose the corresponding profile, after choosing that I get all the options to label (vertical tangent intersect, low point, high point, grade break, overall low point, etc.), I choose high point and it labels nothing. If I choose overall high point, it labels the highest point of the profile and the same with overall low point. If I choose grade break, it labels all the grade breaks (high point, low point, change in grade, etc.). We were just looking for an automated way to label our low points and high points in plan view that would update on it's own if we slid the high or low point up and down station when designing.


So, in your second post you said that if you chose overall high point, it labelled it for you. I'm not sure what else you're looking for. What I was referring to was the DATA that was in the pv label. Trying to help here, just not understanding what you're looking for exactly.


We always label in plan view the intermidiate low and high points of our profile and at any change in slope. For instance, we will do a series of labels in plan view TC 15.55 HP, P 15.55 HP, TC 15.55 HP at one of the intermidiate high points, TC 15.20 LP, P 15.20 LP, TC 15.20 LP and if the road centerline changes slope from 0.30% to 0.45% we will put 3 labels at that point in plan view. I have recently noticed that you can label profile geometry points along a horizontal alignment in plan view with all or almost all of the information you label in profile view and was wanting to take full advantage of that. The issue is, it will only label the overall high point or basically, the highest PVI of the profile and only the overall low point or basically the lowest PVI of the profile. We always have multiple high and low points along a road and change grades, it would just be nice to use this tool to automatically label those points in plan view and know that if we move the high or low point up or down station that the label would move with it.


Yeah, it still beats the heck out of the way did it in the past. Print out the profiles and look at the stations where we have low/high points and grade changes and place a label in plan view at that station. At least the change grade profile geometry label works and is completely automated, it labels everything as a grade break (low point, high point, grade change, etc.) and it will serve as a reminder to us to place a label at that point whether it be an HP or LP or CG. I was just hoping there was an easy to fix solution as to why it will not label the high low points, oh well.


If you have vertical curves in your profile AutoCad is able to label intermediate HP and LP but if you are just using PVI grade breaks then it will just label BREAK. However, it handles Overall HP and Overall LP differently so it can label those in addition to the other profile geometry points.


Looks like you're not gonna get HIGH and LOW before you make some curves. I drew up a profile that's just lines in a "zig-zag". Got the labels in profile view, and OVERALL high/low next to alignment (this is a discovery for me, will use it at some point), but HIGH and LOW labels did not appear untill i applied some radius tween the tangents in profile view. Hope it sheds some light, let us know!


If you have a lot of labels it actually goes pretty quick if you use this with a repeat last command shortcut (after you complete first EDITLABELTEXT command just press the up arrow on your keyboard or many people have a right click setting that brings up choices for "recent input" or "repeat last command".


Below-grade walls can be brought into cove.tool through the covetool below grade wall view in the respective 3D plugins. Make sure before you import below grade geometry you have determined whether it meets the conditioned space requirement as shown in the Below Grade Geometry Guide. Once geometry is in the 3D environment, it will appear below grade. Any geometry within the elevation with the below grade objects will also fall below ground, so be sure to remove any items in the 3D view that fall below these conditions. The math and geometry placement exams are used to measure your mathematical skills to determine your proper course placement. Most math and geometry courses at COD have a prerequisite. These prerequisites may be met using prior coursework at COD or another college or a qualifying score on the ALEKS Math Placement Test.


Before taking your placement test, new students must apply for admission and obtain a COD ID number, username and password. A photo ID, COD ID number and COD username/password are required to begin the test.


ALEKS Placement, Preparation, and Learning (PPL) is a placement tool. The score from Test 1 creates an individualized study plan for review prior to future test attempts. All questions on the ALEKS test are free response (no multiple choice).


ALEKS PPL is used at College of DuPage to assess your current math skills, create a personalized learning path to help refresh and improve your math knowledge and place you into an appropriate math course based on your best proctored assessment.


You have four attempts in a one year period. All four tests are proctored. The highest score from any proctored test will be used to determine course placement. Test scores are available immediately after testing.

Students who take the two-semester transitional math course in a College of DuPage Community College District 502 high school can use their second semester grade of A, B or C to enroll directly into select classes.


State Board of Education Rule 6A-10.030, the Gordon Rule, requires that students complete with grades of C or better 12 credits in designated courses in which the student is required to demonstrate college-level writing skills through multiple assignments and six credits of mathematics course work at the level of college algebra or higher. These courses must be completed successfully (grades of C or better) prior to the receipt of an A.A. degree and prior to entry into the upper division of a Florida public university.


The MCAP mathematics assessments focus on the content outlined in the Maryland College and Career Ready Standards for each grade level or course. Students are asked to demonstrate their understanding of mathematics by solving real-world problems, making sense of quantities and their relationships, and reasoning mathematically.




For students in grades 3 through 8, the assessments are given toward the end of the school year. Assessments in Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II are administered after a student has completed most of the required course.
