Hey everyone,
Have any plans for this weekend? If you will be around Mt Airy and want to have some summer fun, be sure to check out the Mt Airy Bike Collective booth at the Sunday Market at Allen Lane Train Station. http://www.highpointcafe.us.com/html/sundaymkt.html
The market takes place from 10am-4pm. There will be music, local craftspeople, urban farmers, and more! The Bike Collective will have our bike blender and some of the bikes from our Kids Bike Library.
In case you haven't heard about the Kids Bike Library, it is our new core program. Fast growing youth can rent a bike from us for the summer season. The idea is to get more kids riding, and appeal to the many families that live in this area. It's also a more affordable and environmentally responsible option for parents! We have helmets for participants, at a reduced price.
Bikes can be rented for the season with a $20 dollar fee and a $30 deposit, to be returned at the end of the summer in exchange for the return of the bike. If you have a bike you have outgrown, you can forgo the $30 deposit and just pay $20 which helps us to cover the costs of fixing the bikes over the winter so other (smaller) kids can rent it next summer!
