Zoom Telephonics is looking for an individual to lead the IT activities throughout the organization. We are looking for an individual who has the strategic sense to provide an overall IT vision, and the leadership ability to drive the company towards that vision. A successful candidate will have demonstrated experience managing IT teams, outside vendor relationships, hardware/software acquisitions and production application implementations.
The Manager should have demonstrated knowledge in the following technical disciplines.
<li>User support and training
<li>NT and Unix systems administration
<li>Local Area Networking (cabling, switches etc.)
<li>Wide Area Networking (routing, voice/data T1 lines, VPN etc.)
<li>Security
<li>Windows desktop administration
<li>Financial and Manufacturing systems implementations
<li>Management of outside vendors including web hosting services and telecommunications services
Experience in one or more of the following disciplines is helpful.
<li>Web programming
<li>E-Commerce and EDI Implementations
<li>Sales tools including SFA and CRM packages
<li>PBX and call center implementations
<li>Data Warehouse development and deployment
<li>Applications experience through the entire software development life cycle
As important as the technical skills is the ability to work with a varied user community and translate business requirements into technical solutions. Key is the ability to insure that Information Technology supports the business goals. A general understanding of financial systems is required and experience in a manufacturing environment would be helpful. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience in a $50M to $200M company, have managed a team of employees and handled budgets in the $1M range.
