We are a Global Market Research Company looking for a Business Developer who can identify syndicated agricultural and/or other marketing research business opportunities and lead in the development and commercialization of the opportunities to join our St. Louis office. Our success is driven by curious and passionate professionals who partner together as a global team with operations around the world.
What you need for this position:
- Must be able to relocate to St. Louis
- Proven track record of maintaining and generating new sales relationships and expanding marketing research business opportunities.
- Must be able to develop a “user oriented” understanding of marketing research and the databases as they apply to the industries assigned.
- Must be resourceful in marketing and promoting new products/services.
- Excellent analytic, computer, and written communication skills
- Strong conceptual and problem solving skills
- Background in Agriculture, crop protection, and animal health is a huge plus
- If you have worked with one of the following companies it is a plus! Such as: TNS Global, Ipsos, Maritz, GFK Inc, ComScore, Netbase, Hoovers, and Brand Institute
What youll be doing:
- Identifying syndicated agricultural and/or other marketing research business opportunities; determine potential revenue from each opportunity; and lead in the development and commercialization of the opportunities.
- Generating new sales relationships and expanding marketing research business opportunities.
- Researching and analyzing specified markets for sale and distribution to clients using knowledge and experience in variety of designated industries.
- Make well-prepared recommendations to management regarding research products, service, and market expansion opportunities based on client needs and suggestions.
- Obtain and analyze feedback from clients
- Help maintain a high level of service quality—troubleshooting when necessary.
- Oversee and coordinate timely development of marketing research proposals and presentations to prospective clients. Be able to discuss potential projects in a well-prepared, highly professional manner, developing and retaining the client’s
