A drinking club with a cycling problem.
Ride and socialize with the Melbourne chapter of a world-wide club. Each ride is a mystery. You will know where it starts, but not where it goes until you find the trail. Follow our trail marks through city & bush, but beware of falsies!
Turn up ready to ride. Rides last approx. 3 hours. If you get hungry, have a meal before, grab a snack during or join us in a meal after.  It is completely non-competitive (take it at your own pace), and open to all ages and sexes. Rides often start from a rail station or a pub, and end up back there for drinks and social. $5 cover charge (helps us maintain the group).

Some history: In 1938 a small group of ex-pats living in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, started running a Monday evening 'paper chase' as an excuse for working off their regular weekend hangovers - they called themselves the Hash House Harriers after their favourite watering hole. After the War other Hash packs were formed, so that today there are 1000's throughout the world. In recent years several Bike Hashes have sprung up with similar objectives: to follow a flour trail of 20 km or so, over all kinds of terrain, and then to socialise in the pub with your fellow Bashers.
