Could Attention API theoretically work for this use-case:

A user allows my site access to their Facebook profile and job
history, and feeding this information into Attention API, it could
select appropriate tags from a defined set.

Is this possible? Thanks!

Alright, so I'm reading over my post, and realizing that it's pretty
vague, so here's the full context:

I'm interested in an application for notifying citizens of upcoming
city council and committee agenda items as they're published, so that
citizens can take a greater interest in their city hall. Right now,
there's just too much information flowing out of these meetings, and
even if we were to make it all available as linked data, it would
still be information overload. It sounds like Attention API would 100%
fit the bill if we could expect the average person to log in and start
browsing agenda items, but that isn't all that realistic.

What I was hoping was that this might be a tool that would allow us
choose agenda items of interest by accessing social network profile
information.

So am I in the right place? Anyone know whether this is feasible?

Thanks very much for any insight you can provide!

That's true, and that's the intended use case... Anything other than
this type of usage isn't really possible at the moment.

The most naive solution I can think of to what you describe is helping
out already EXISTING my6sense users. Users that we already have
learned something about them and maybe this content might be a bit
more relevant to them.
however, due to the nature of the content you supply, if the user
didn't consume similar typed content through my6sense before, odds are
the relevancy won't be as good as it can over time with the proper
usage pattern.

Hope I helped...
