Dear St. Petersburg NOOD Sailors,

 
We hope all of you are having a wonderful start to the new year and are excited to join us again this year for the St. Petersburg NOOD Regatta. The NOOD Staff is ready for their first stop of the Sperry Top-Sider NOOD Regatta season. The St. Petersburg NOOD Regatta will take place on Feburary 18-20, 2011 at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club. We hope you will be joining us again this year!

 

Classes invited to join us at the 2011 Sperry Top-Sider St. Petersburg NOOD Regatta include:

REGISTRATION DETAILS:
 
A minimum of six boats is required for a class to remain eligible. Due to the number of classes anticipated at this event, entrants should be aware that there is a possibility that classes with fewer than 12 boats registered may be started together, but scored separately. A $50 late fee (in addition to the entry fee) will start on January 31, 2011 at 5 p.m. EST. This is an additional fee if you register or pay on or after this date past 5 p.m. EST. Please note this deadline when sending mailed or faxed entries. To receive a refund or to cancel your entry, call 401-845-4112 by February 14, 2011.

 

 

PARTY INFORMATION:
 
Don't be left out this year! Come join us at the NOOD Party Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings after racing!
One party ticket (given to the skipper when registering on-site) is included with entry fee. If you would like to purchase additional party tickets for your crew or other participants they are $46 each for online pre-purchases. On-site they will be $50 each. Each night there will be entertainment, food and beverages by our sponsors. Merchandise will be sold at the parties so don't forget to stop by to get your exclusive 2011 gear for yourself, friends and family.
 

 

 

LAUNCHING INFORMATION:
 
Parking for trailers is available at Tropicana Field, Lot 9 (10th Street at 4th Avenue South) at no charge. No boats are to arrive before Monday, February 5, 2011 and all must leave by February 22, 2011. NOTE: There is no security in this area. Park at your own risk and do not leave valuables in your boat/trailer. Additional storage options are available. Please contact Shawn Macking at 727-822-3113

Bayshore Drive (on the west side of the Sailing Center basin) will be the staging area for launching. Sailing Center (2-ton and 3-ton cranes) Crane launching for boats weighing no more than 5000 pounds. Traffic between Bayshore Drive and the Sailing Center will be strictly controlled.
 

Local boatyards: There are several boatyards, within one mile of the Sailing Center, capable of launching boats weighing more than 5000 pounds. They may be found in the Yellow Pages (under Boat Yards). Early reservations would be prudent.


 For those unable to launch by crane, a municipal public boat ramp is located near the Sailing Center on Demen's Landing. Access to Demen's landing will be strictly controlled.

Please contact Shawn Macking (SPYC Sailing Master) at the St. Petersburg Sailing Center at 727-822-3113 for instructions and for information regarding boat storage prior to the NOOD. NO trailers may be stored at the Sailing Center.  Vehicles and trailers are NOT to park on Demen's Landing from February 15, 2011 - February 21, 2011.

The Melges 24 fleet, the Sonar fleet and the Corsair fleets are assigned to raft at the Sailing Center main dock during the event. For dockage information for other classes during the event, please contact Adam Harnen SPYC Dock Master at 727-822-3227.
