Dear Karan,
To answer your queries,
WHAT IS WEBSIM PROJECT:
WorldQuant is building a virtual research centre, a Websim Project based around our inhouse simulation tools. Upon your acceptance, you will be trained on our simulation tools, and you will be making computer-based models that seek to predict the movements of worldwide financial markets (alpha).
We will start this project in May, for which we are looking for as many students as possible, to join this project, irrespective of their year, branch or cgpa.
TIME LIMIT FOR THE PROJECT:
Since it is not an internship, but an ongoing project which will begin in summer, so the student can work for as long as he can devote time depending upon his availability and convenience. We have not set any end limit to the project. The student need not come to the office, but can work from the campus too.
PROCESS:
We would like to hold an online test in 2nd week of Feb to gauge the mathematical aptitude and logical reasoning of the student. Post that, we will be shortlisting the students for a 15 days virtual trial session on websim, beginning from 17th February. Their performance will be again evaluated, and they will be finally accepted to our project, beginning in May.
TRAINING:
The training would involve sessions on quant finance and will cover the relevant quantitative modeling aspects of the project. It is meant to serve as your first exposure to the quant finance and WebSim.
For more information, please visit:

SKILLS REQUIRED:
No programming skills are required for the basic interface; although we encourage you to learn python as you go since we support python code on WebSim and will help you develop more advanced models on the portal. However, high mathematical and analytical knowledge is required to excel in this field.
COMPENSATION:
This project is absolutely free for all students. Those students who perform well in our trail session will be contracted to make mathematical models during vacation and depending on their performance , they will be paid by the company.
Regarding the NDA, we will NEED their signed NDA’s before they appear for the test. you can either courier them to us, or share in Google docs.
Warm Regards,

Thanks for your prompt reply Radhika.
Just had a few queries from the student's side:
1) What exactly will be the work of the students who're selected for your project? Anything relevant to IT field or is it going to be relevant to mathematics and finance, in which any stream student can participate?
2) Also is it fine if the students aren't able to get their digital signatures or personally sign the NDA, rather just mention their names?
Please let me know the responses to these questions at your earliest.
Thanks & Regards,

Dear Radhika,
Please find attached the excel sheet and the zip file containing the resumes and the NDAs of the registered students.
Sorry for the delay, we were a bit late to act upon your e-mail. Also wanted to know if there's a possibility of extending the deadline for registrations by a couple of days. The participation can go up highly now that the students have just got to know about the WebSim project, and have shown a great interest in applying for it.
