Established in 1995, the LCGF is the UK's first and only festival dedicated to the classical guitar. We celebrate the Latin roots of our favourite musical instrument with a feast of music from Spain, Portugal and Latin America performed by leading artists from around the world. Organised by ILAMS in collaboration with the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Cervantes Institute, the Seville International Guitar Competition and Making Music, the Festival's natural home, the Bolívar Hall, provides an acoustic unrivalled in the UK for classical guitar, and a vibrant atmosphere in which to enjoy this colourful repertoire. The guitar is at the heart of Latin classical music culture, so for anyone wishing to become better acquainted with Iberican classical music, the LCGF is a 'must'. poised impression.’ The Telegraph In collaboration with the Instituto Cervantes, ILAMS launches a new concert series in London aimed at providing a platform to promising young musicians at the start of their career, whilst offering audiences a unique opportunity to enjoy the diversity of colour, vitality and exuberance that Iberian and Latin American music is famous for. British classical guitarist Manus Noble inaugurates the series with a solo concert of Spanish, Latin American and British works, including some of own compositions. A former student of Craig Ogden and Gary Ryan at both the Royal College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music, Noble is rapidly gaining recognition as one of the rising stars of the British classical guitar world. Armed with an outstandingly beautiful instrument and a rare dynamic expressive aptitude, she has captivated audiences across Spain and the UK, including
appearances at Wigmore Hall and LSO St Luke's. A recent graduate of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama where she worked under the tutelage of leading figures such as Emma Kirkby and Roger Vignoles, she has won numerous competitions, including the Lillian Ash French Song Competition, and is a Concordia Foundation and Live Music Now artist. She joins forces with Spanish pianist Jorge Carrasco in a programme of Fauré and classic Spanish art songs.
