Job Purpose

11. Work closely with Corporate Marketing in adapting centrally produced advertising
and promotional campaigns for use in Pakistan. Provide high level insights and
feedback to Corporate Marketing on global activity and its effectiveness to the
local market - both whilst this activity is in development and after it has
been run.
12. Monitor, analyse and anticipate competitor behaviors and positioning so as
to keep abreast of market competition and benchmarks that may affect
Organization growth and propose responses to protect Organization market share.
13. Act as a sales &marketing subject matter expert for the Pakistan team
at any internal or external meetings as required through the demonstration of a
clear understanding of the challenges and priorities for Pakistan.

Job Purpose:
The Head of Pakistan South is
primarily responsible for the successful implementation of organization’s
strategy and business development objectives in South Pakistan
in accordance with established policies, agreed targets and key performance
indicators. The role forms part of the leadership team in reporting directly
into the Head of Pakistan. The successful candidate will actively develop
Organization’s presence in the region holding responsibility for the
maintenance and development of key relationships with employers, members,
national bodies and regulators. Working with the Head of Education – Pakistan South, the
Head of Pakistan South oversees the ‘Student Life Cycle’in the South Pakistan.
In this capacity, the Head of Pakistan South maintains joint
responsibility for recruitment and conversion performance and maintains
relationships with key strategic stakeholders such as Platinum accredited
ALP’s. Success will depend on effective collaboration with global groups within
Organization to ensure achieved outcomes are aligned with the work of a number
of functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership for the delivery of
Organization’s strategy and ensure a long-term and strategic positioning of the
organization brand in the market,
- Responsibility for and leadership of a team of
business relationship managers dedicated to delivering Organization’s employer
strategy thereby creating and managing sustainable commercial and
employment linkages between employers and target educational
institutions; creation of trainee opportunities for students, affiliates and
members.
- Collaboration with Head of Education –
Pakistan (South) and Education/Learning resource to target
growth from educational institutions
- Execute Organization’s business development
objectives for South Pakistan. Objectives typically focus on:
Growth in membership numbers
Job Description
- Development and execution of Employer
Plans, including development & identification of trainee and internship
positions.
- Specific goals associated with the
Organization’s online strategy
- Identification and effective communication of
the key business themes that will make Organization nationally relevant in South Pakistan.
Eg. Approaches to employability, audit deregulation, Good Governance etc
- Oversee progress towards student recruitment
targets
- Determine and lead the employer and
relationship management approach in South Pakistan. Position the -- qualification, the --
trainee and -- members as the best brand for target employers across the public
and private sector. Work closely with the marketing team to ensure an agreed
branding image and message, ad campaigns, marketing channels, customized
proposals and presentations and value propositions.
- Create strong networks between target
employers and Organization member networks by working closely with the Manager
Members Affairs to segment employers along preferences for Research and
Insight topics and or local business topics
- Build and maintain influence by engaging at a
strategic level with Organization stakeholders and influential groups connected
with the accounting profession, including key individuals in government
departments, local accountancy bodies and regulators, employers, senior
members, educational institutions and tuition providers etc,
- Ensure continued development of Organization’s
reputation and influence through actively pursuing the Research and
Insights agenda within South Pakistan,
- Stay abreast of key issues relevant to the
accountancy profession and business community and ensure that Organization is
well positioned as a key influencer on these issues ensuring the delivery of
Organization’s thought leadership agenda,
- Represent Organization as a local figurehead
and key spokesperson in local media on subjects in relation to the accountancy
profession .
- Prepare management reports and Market plans in
accordance with Organization internal procedures,
- Actively promote Organization’s brand and
portfolio of qualifications and services to key stakeholders and other
influential groups through innovative events and initiatives.
Key Metrics :
The Head of South Pakistan will have
line management responsibility for 2 staff. He/She is accountable for the
successful delivery of Organization strategy and key performance indicators
that include (but are not limited to):
- Annual Membership growth
- Membership Retention
- Growth in Organization’s brand recognition and
engagement (through Research & Insights agenda) amongst employers,
- Number of internship& trainee
opportunities identified,

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Have a proven track record of successfully
delivering and exceeding business development results in a B2B
professional environment
- Have experience of operating successfully in a
organisational matrix environment
- Have a significant understanding of South Pakistan
and regional business environment and as a minimum a fundamental
understanding of the accounting community and accountancy related issues,
- Be an excellent communicator with first class
presentation skills, both written and oral,
- Have proven experience as a team leader or
manager with excellent people-management, influencing and negotiation skills,
- Be able to work under pressure, on own
initiative and within agreed budgets,
- Have the skills and background to understand
and contribute to Organization’s policy agenda as required,
- Be educated to at least degree level and
possibly also possess a relevant professional qualification i.e. ACCA, CIM, MBA
etc
- Demonstrate the necessary gravitas and
credibility to act as a brand ambassador for Organization;
- Be able to deliver agreed KPI’s in a results
driven environment;
- Demonstrate integrity and professionalism in
line with Organization values and mission;

Working Relationships:
Head of Pakistan (line manager) – accountable to
– for the achievement of objectives and targets – at least weekly, monthly and
more regular contact as and when required. Direct reports – as line manager –
frequently.
Internally: Fellow colleagues. In CHQ,
effective collaboration with the following teams: Marketing, Corporate
Development, Global Employer Relationships, Policy, Technical, Learning,
Regional Support Functions, Brand, Market Operations Transformation &
Connect.
Externally: Employers, Regulators, Universities,
Learning Providers, Local Accounting organizations, Members &
Students
Decision Making (Freedom to Act):
- The job holder develops the corporate/market
plan in line with Organization strategy and consults with the Head of
Pakistan.
- The jobholder must have the approval of the
Head of Pakistan to recruit and dismiss local hires, in conjunction with the
People Team. Recruitment approval is given by both the Executive Director –
Markets and HRBP.
- Decisions related to changes in terms and
conditions and/or salary increases have to be authorised by the Market
Director and made in conjunction with the People Team.
