[Message from Sonja}
Hello there Lynda
The links below are all I have managed to
find and I was wondering if you could help me find out more about Andrew
Robert Murray, who his parents were? (John Murray is mentioned as next
of kin and father in Army Records) If his parents had any other children
and where this "shady gentleman" ended up?!
I'm wondering if
this might be any link to my family story - the odds of there being two
men named Andrew MURRAY, both bigamous and both working in Millerton at
the same time are pretty small.

Divorce file:

This could be his 2 marriages:
1904/1820 Janet McKinlay / Andrew Robert Murray
1909/5514 Isabella Kidd / Andrew James Murray
As
it says in the newspaper article that Andrews 1st wife was in an
interesting condition - thought I would try and find her child.
This could be her marriage - using her maiden name:-
1910/3201 Janet McKinlay / George Albert Skene
Janet
, George and a Gordon Walker Skene are all buried beside each other in
Anderson's Bay Cemetery, Dunedin. Gordon does look like a possibility to
be Andrew's son, died 22 Jan 1926 aged 21yrs. There is a probate for
Gordon at Dunedin archives.
also there is an Army Record for an Andrew Robert Murray that you can view online here:

Surname Murray

Thank
you so much Lynda - I have very much enjoyed reading your website and
indeed it has sparked off somewhat of a new interest in family
geneology! - so for that I thank you aswell.
Kind Regards
