I am decended from the mudgway family too. From John Wilmshurst and Rachel Ann Mudgway, who had a daughter Alice Wilmshurst who married Frank Taylor and had a son Frank Lashford Taylor who married Margary Boucher and had a son Victor Francis Corbett Taylor who was my grandad. I am interested in "putting flesh on bones" mostly my direct ancestors and am keen to make sure of proof of information, I am willing to share copies of any certificates, photos and other documents and hoping others are too. I have found through " browsing the net" there is a lot of people publishing their genealogies on various websites and it's not all accurate. You have some very good sites and information here and I am hoping you would have copies of certificates etc you would be willing to share as proof. I have been looking on the family search site LDS, and see that someone has gone back on the mudgway side further than John muckaway and Elizabeth ? As family search is one of the lot of misinformation sites now I am cautious however it could be worth investigating. Hope to hear back from you.

Hi there I am new to this site but am infact the directly related to the Mudgway Wilmshurst connection also. John Thomas Wilmshurst and Rachel Mudgway Mudgway are my 3rd Gt Grandparents.

I thank you for the info posted above as I have no details at all concerning Alice Wilmshurst. I also note there are some differences in family search details but where I can I cross reference them with NZ BMD records.
