Responsible developing conceptual and logical designs for databases and other components to meet overall information requirements and strategy.
Project Description:
Develops conceptual or general designs to solve requirement challenges, including logical design of databases, access methods and metadata presentations. Details all aspects of functional designs, including record layouts, pseudocode, detailed data mapping, etc. Creates and populates metadata and plans and participates in unit testing for data validation. Tests all aspects of metadata for adequacy and evaluates for fulfillment of data requirements. Develops and maintains information strategies to support enterprise business plans and ensures necessary tools and environments are in place to execute strategies. Participates in the definition and shaping of projects. Develops and documents all data related facilities and functions that must be implemented to successfully meet business needs.
Responsible for analyzing, reporting and developing recommendations on data being extracted from a data warehouse. Data warehouse environment consists of medical claims, membership, and provider data Essential duties include but are not limited to: develops and analyzes operational performance reports and provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies. Develop ad-hoc SQL queries to troubleshoot issues. Creates and publishes periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports. Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills:
• Requires BA/BS in computer science or information systems
• 6 + years of experience in information systems including 3 or more years of data administration experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
• This position requires detailed business knowledge as well as detailed technical knowledge of data administration tools and techniques.
• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills required.
• 3-5 years data analysis or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• +5 years of strong SQL experience
• Prefer knowledge of SSIS, DTS, stored procedures, and triggers.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written communication skills required.
• Prior Healthcare Member/Claims/ Billing/Enrollme nt Systems and/or QA experience preferred.
