Dear colleagues,
I was contacted by Hans Rocha IJzerman, who is part of the Global Initiative on Loneliness and Connection. They are searching for researchers that self-identify as working on social connection, broadly defined. This could include
topics like attachment theory, social connection/isolation, social exclusion, loneliness, social support, romantic relationships, social capital, et cetera. These examples are far from exhaustive, and researchers are welcome to join, whichever scientific discipline
people work in.
They would like to invite these researchers to participate in a survey to inform the establishment of an interdisciplinary International Scientific Board. The International Scientific Board will partner with the World Health
Organization and national organizations across the globe on new and ongoing projects on social connection, loneliness, and health.
If you identify as being part of this research field, please take this short
survey, which they estimate to take between 10-20 minutes.
Sincerely,
Rui,
On behalf of
Dr Julianne Holt-Lunstad - Chair
Dr Hans Rocha IJzerman - Vice-Chair
Dr Michelle Lim - Vice-Chair
International Scientific Board
