I have been having what seems a ridiculous amount of trouble trying to declare a task from my S100 to the PowerMouse.

Here's the details of the setup:
S100
PowerMouse, AU version, non-IGC
Cable between the two devices with just pins 4, 5 & 6 connected as I supply power to the PowerMouse via Port 2 on it's own switch, using the power cable that came with the PM.
PowerMouse config is using Protcol V9 as advised in a previous thread.

I've made 3 different cables now as I thought it could be issues with the physical connection, all give exactly the same result.
My pin connections are as per the manuals as I understand it.
S100        PowerMouse
4 (in)        5 (out)
5 (out)     6 (in)
6 (Gnd)   4 (Gnd)

When I check the S100 NMEA Test it shows all green except PFLAA, which I think is OK as there are no aircraft near me.
Flarm Info shows Hardware = NG, Firmware = 7.40,  Flarm ID is empty, Serial Number is shown.
Flarm Config and Aircraft Config show all the expected values from the Flarm configuration.
Send decl. to GPS port is enabled
NMEA baud rate is 57600bps on both devices, and auto detect picks that up correctly.
NMEA Output & GPS Data are enabled.
I've tried with LXWP & PLXV enabled and disabled as I can't quite figure what these two provide.

When I Load a task and accept it the display shows:
" Sending pilot info to flarm", then
"Sending task declaration to flarm" then
"Task retry sent to flarm"
It then repeats "Sending" and "retry" until it finally shows "Flarm Declaration Error!"

I'm stuck and frustrated!

To add to the frustration I also can't get XCSoar to declare a task to the S100 - it just hangs for ages then gives up. So currently I have to load a task .tsk file into XCSoar, Load a CUP file onto the S100 SD card and then bring that in (or laboriously enter the task manually while sitting in the sun in the cockpit), and I can't do anything useful with the FLARM regards tasks.

Problem Solved.

LX Nav advised the wiring is all good, but the task will only be accepted by a PowerMouse with IGC option.

Out of luck, move on.
Now to see if I can solve the XCSoar to S100 issue. From what I've read it seems this might be unlikely until someone takes on the task of updating the XCS software that handles this. Some people get it to work but none of the suggestions have made any difference in my case.
