SxHawk feature?

From what I can see on my SxHawk vario, any features not forwarded from the S8/S10 vario's have been completely removed from the menu. However, the four digital inputs (for spoilers, Landing gear etc...) are in the vario menu but for me are unselectable. In the SxHawk's manual, they are included in the wiring diagram, but not in the body of the document. Does anyone know if they are supposed to function?
