Hi,

I am going soon to travel through France and Spain. I wonder if there are Weekend Airspace files for the LX 9070 for these countries. It would be great if someone can share these files with me.

The goal is to eliminate the constant alerts for airspace that is inactive on weekends. In Belgium, where airspace is a nightmare, the https://www.lvzc.be shares Airspace files for week days and the weekend, making our life much easier. Before flying you just need to check NOTAMs and make adjustments (if needed), but most of the inactive airspaces will already be inactive in the file. 🙂

Thanks in advance,
Joaquim

Hello, there is no weekend file as far as I know of. There is a github site for the latest airspace in different formats which you can find here:
GitHub - planeur-net/airspace: Fichier des espaces aériens Francais au format "openair"

A useful tip is in the header of airspaces as one highlighted below --> "SAUF" means active except weekend (we) and holidays (jf). This header appears on your LX display.

** ZRT SALBRIS DRONES (2023/11/30) AC UNCLASSIFIED AY R AN ZRT SALBRIS (SUP AIP 132/24) SAUF WE&JF AH 3400FT AMSL AL GND
You still need to double check your nav though because airspace has been getting decimated by the amount of extended notams and sup aips published for military and/or civilian drone testing and pretty much any event (tour de france, July 14th parade, le mans racing, econ events, some big cheese's week-end bbq, you name it) nowadays.
If you're unsure of one area inflight, hook-up via frequency with a flight information region (FIR) controller and have them tell you whether an area is active or not, obviously before flying into it.

Good luck

I found this airspace file, which I used in my trip today. Is not for weekends, but in any case I planned most of my flight around airspace. France is very simple when compared to Belgium! :)
