LX 9000 not recognising SD card

Hi,

I know that the LX 9000 card reader is working because I updated it a few weeks ago with the SD card of the glider’s previous owner. Today I tried to upload my profile created in LX Styler and the LX 9000 just did not recognise it had a card. I wasn’t even able to format it. Any suggestion on how to solve the problem? I already ordered the WiFi module to make things easier but it bothers me having things that do not work! ☹️ Any suggestions? Is there a maximum size the card can have? Should I format it in the PC and try again?

Did you "eject" the SD card safely after writing your LX Styler profile on it?

Maybe try to repair the card on PC.

WiFi module is worth it!

In the past I've had trouble with the electrical contacts on a previously known-good card in my LX9000. It worked OK on a reader, after cleaning them it worked fine on the LX9000.

I found the issue! The LX9000 doesn't support SD cards with more than 4Gb. Bought a new card and solved the problem

I've definitely used larger than 4GB cards. But it may just be the brand or some other facet of the larger card that didn't work. I've run into that with other devices and thumb drives.
