Thermal voice announcements on S80

Hello. I’ve scoured the manual but can’t seem to find out how to turn off the synthesized voice announcements of the average thermal rate while circling. I have an S80. Thanks.

Its under 'Alerts' as a checkbox. There are voice and sound alert lists.

I didn't find any "Alerts" submenu, S100 with 9.56 firmware.

I would like to bring this issue up again, we need an easy way to disable this new feature! I can understand the intention to keep one's attention focused on looking outside as much as possible, but I want to be able to choose! 

There is already enough visual and audio information when thermaling; this additional announcement just confuses me, because I expect the only voice messages to be those related to FLARM warnings.

I am used to it now - it gives more realistic averages than watching the screen - but didn't find how to disable it just in case.

For me the S100 was a good replacement for my dying LX7007 (with addition of a Redbox Flarm and XCSoar on a Samsung S23), but I stopped worrying about the quirks.

What is the last software version before this "update"?

If it can't be disabled, I'd suggest using that.

I contacted LX about this a while ago now, Uros responded that a disable toggle has been added to their todo list for the next release. He confirmed no way to turn it off as of now.
