The flap sensor linked to the 9070 in my Ventus 3M has suddenly stopped being recognised as present by the main unit.  I can't find anything amiss with the cabling and or connections to the sensor and bus and getting access to the sensor itself to remove and/or replace it is going to be very difficult.   On the slim off chance that the cause could be a software issue I am wondering if anyone else has had the same issue recently?  IIRC this was the first flight after I installed V9.54 release.

Hi
I flew with 9.54 and Flap Sensor with no issue.
looks like you may have a hardware issue...
Let us know...

For reasons I can't understand my flap sensor sometimes doesn't work when the water dumps are open. Maybe check that.
Separately my sensor failed due to bad strain relief on the wiring breaking the terminals off the board. Every flap actuation was applying bending and strain. Very challenging soldering job to repair it, but possible. Check it has been installed properly with good strain relief.

I recall the connection not being particularly robust.  I installed one on an ASG29 for a friend and was pretty careful in routing and strain relief.

That said, my new glider doesn't have the flap sensor and I haven't really felt like I needed it.  I have the "Requested Flap" dialog displayed and the flap tape and find that adequate.  I suppose I'm missing out on logging of flap position data if I was trying to analyze flap usage after the fact.

Am I really missing all that much aside from a side-by-side Requested vs Actual on the flap tape?  I suppose I could be triggering thermal mode as well.

I updated recently and lost connection to my remote stick.
Have not yet found a solution

Thanks for all the replies.  I will have to investigate the hardware.
