I'm creating a FLARM config file through https://flarm.com/support/tools-software/flarm-configuration-tool/ to upload to my PowerFLARM Core, connected to an LX9070. I have searched online but didn't find which Protocol version it was best to use (other than Paul Remde's PDF file recommending version 9 https://www.cumulus-soaring.com/flarm/PowerFLARM-Tips.pdf) ?

It is currently set to version 7 ($PFLAC,S,NMEAOUT2,71), but I wonder if I could use version 9?

Is there an interest, do you know what extra functionality is supported in versions 8 and 9?

Use version 9, especially if you have the ADS-R license.

Thanks Ramy, I don't need the ADS-R license as I fly in Europe but I will use 9 for the LX since you confirm it works and I'll keep 7 for my ATD57 Air Traffic display. I intend to try the Hawk demo once available - it may need V9??

BTW, Paul's document is a great reference, when I posted I hadn't noticed that he had included an example of flarmcfg.txt at the end of the PDF.
