Dear Sergey
I would thank you for the hard work that you have achieved which will be very beneficial for many researchers especially those who don't have easy access to the wide variaty of papers from where they can get their data.
sincerely yours

Dear Sergey,

Well, this is the cumulation of many months of hard work on your part.  Well done!!!

One minor point concerning references :  I like the fact that you added the proper references in the top of the header of the download files.  However, there’s the following line is also in the text and at some point we need to remove inconsistencies.

HOW TO REFERENCE: Cross sections extracted from PROGRAM MAGBOLTZ, VERSION 8.9 March 2010

I’ll be in touch again after the GEC to let you know how the workshop goes.

With best wishes,  Leanne

Dear Ziane,

Thank you for these kind words. Your feedback is very important for the survival of the project. I wish only to stress that this project is the result of joint work of the LXCAT team including more than 26 contributors and experts from 11 countries (please visit HOME > THE LXCAT TEAM web page for details) with technical support provided by myself, Bhaskar Chaudhury and Sanchita Chowdhury. Separately, I wish to mention Leanne Pitchford who invests a lot of time coordinating this entire project.

Thus, I transmit your compliments to the LXCAT team.
Thank you again!

With kind regards,
Sergey (on behalf of the LXCAT team)

Dear Sergey
What I haven't understood yet is why you keep mentioning on the previous site (!! ATTENTION !! This cross section set should not be used in Boltzmann calculations because it does not include explicitly rotational cross sections (very important in H2O) (not yet implemented in BOLSIG+). for Morgan, Phelps and Hayashi ) and we can have the swarm parameters from the on line calculation (using the new site)(Just with Morgan, Phelps and Hayashi and not Itikawa because his compilation is not complete set of cross sections !!! )

Thank you very much for your details
With kind regards

Dear Sergey
In comsol multiphysics software, in order import cross section data, the file format required is as follow:
---------------------------
The File Format
Cross-section data must be specified using the following format:
2nd line
3rd line
4th line

energy data (eV) Collision cross section (m2)
11st line: Keyword in capitals indicating the type of the collision. Possible collision types are ELASTIC, EXCITATION, IONIZATION, and ATTACHMENT. Note the use of capital letters.
22nd line: Reaction formula. This formula carries over to the COMSOL Multiphysics GUI so that whatever is entered here appears in the Formula field. The formula must be separated by a => sign.
33rd line: For elastic collisions, the ratio of the electron mass to the target particle mass. For attachment, the 3rd line is 0 (zero). For ionization, the threshold energy 1st line
in eV. For excitation there are three (3) numbers separated by a space. The first number is the excitation energy (eV). The second number is the ratio of statistical weights of the final state to the initial state. The third number is a flag that determines whether or not a detailed balance is used. Use a 1 to construct a detailed balance and 0 otherwise.
---------------------------

What I dont understand in here is (The third number is a flag that determines whether or not a detailed balance is used. Use a 1 to construct a detailed balance and 0 otherwise.), so would you please give me more details about the meaning of this (choises 1 or 0) or may be with an exemple about it.
Thank you very much in advence.
Best regards

Dear All,

I have two questions related to this topic and I would be grateful if someone will help me.

For formatting the file to be imported to COMSOL, especially the excitation process, I don't know how to calculate the second number in the third line (the ratio of statistical weights of the final state to the initial state) and the third number (The third number is a flag that determines whether or not a detailed balance is used. Use a 1 to construct a detailed balance and 0 otherwise.)

Thank you in advance,

Samah

Dear ALL
i have the same problem with finding statistical weight ratio.
i would be thankful if you tell me how didi you find data for statistical weight.
thank you.
