I have listed names, phone numbers and email addresses of each Local
League's EV committee chair. Plus several other people who have
responded and expressed interest. Thank you for adding your input to
this study.
You are all invited to the Educational Panel on EV and No-excuse
absentee Voting that KC/JCP is presenting on Oct. 10th.--we are
hoping to have our panel confirmed soon--we already have Connie
Schmidt who just came back from a Pew Center presentation--she is the
retired Johnson County Election Commissioner and will speak on the KS
advance voting system. We are also fortunate that Peggy McGaugh of
Carroll Co (population 10,000) is going to represent the rural county
perspective. She is the president of the MO. Association of Counties
and treasurer of the Missouri County Clerks. We invited Sec. of State
Robin Carnahan; however, she is unable to make it. We plan to ask
some other election official to talk on the current voting practice of
Missouri. We have invited Senator Jolie Justus who introduced a no-
excuse absentee voting bill this past year. We are awaiting feedback
on whether she is available. We also hope to have a human resources
representative to cover the business/workforce issues--we have
contacted Hallmark and Harley Davis. We have made arrangements to
video the 2 hr panel so we can share it with those unable to attend.
I will be glad when everything is confirmed. I will keep you
