It is a two year program consist of 7 course. However, they also don’t let more than one course each semester, so it will take 2 years and one extra semester.

 

I love to study, but this one I need it for my work since it has both; accounting and property management courses mix. I am excited to do this. Asset management will be my first course of this designation. From a quick look at the book content I can tell you that it is a lot easier than CGA courses for sure J

 

My winter course with CGA will be either FA2 or MA1.

Hi Michelle!

I'm taking FA1 right now but through Athabasca online.  I'm halfway through and doing the midterm in a few weeks. It is definitely more theory based and problem solving at the beginning. Exams are 4 parts with short answer, multiple choice, T or F, statement preparation.

My first CGA course. How does it go? Will they post the venue where exam will be held? M on panic mode too! Not even sure if i can finish module 10 in time for the quiz!

I just looked at the pass rate for LW1 for Alberta (2011 stat) is at 0%! Yikes. National average was 54%  Better hunker down these next 3 weeks!

Could be that Alberta has less students enrolled in CGA, so the percent ratio is lower... as if only a handful of students too Law and a couple got low marks that would really pull down the average! My province has an average exam score of 62.9 for Fall session and the Canada wide average was 78.6. Talking to past students, the law final isn't supposed to be that bad! Fingers crossed!!

My suggestion is to get the past exams off the Blackboard... they don't give the questions and answers...  but the markers comments are available and it talks about the student weaknesses for each module and if you print all 3 exams you can compare to see what type of questions are asked on average. For example it sounds like Torts from module 2 caused students troubles, so I know to focus on that area now along with each module I'm weak in.
