Hi Folks,

I like dancing a lot, but I don't know any actual dances, so I've been thinking about taking Salsa lessons and I'm looking for other people to go with. Anyone interested?

The Century Ballroom (downtown) offers classes starting January 8th on either Mondays at 6:30 pm or Thursdays at 7pm. The schedule is here. The classes cost $60 for 5 weeks.

I took Lindy Hop classes there. It was a lot of fun. I'd be interested in doing more classes, although the weekday times don't work for me.

There's also Salsa con Todo in Fremont which has beginner salsa classes at 6:30 and 8:15 pm on Wednesdays and 8:15 on Mondays starting January 2nd (link).

Post to the list if you're interested.

Sorry, the Monday class is the 102 class that you take after 101, so only the Wednesday classes would work.

So, I think we're going to do the Century Ballroom Thursday at 7pm classes starting the Jan 12th as that one seems to be most compatible with people's schedules. The classes are $60 for 5 lessons ($5 discount if you get your payment in at least a week before the class).

I'm not yet sure what the best way to sign up for classes is: their registrar email is Cla...@CenturyBallroom.com and their phone number is (206) 324-7263

I'll give more info once I sign up for my lessons.

Rather a funny day for me. Rand and Salsa at the Century both on the local LW mailing list. Way too much cosmic convergence.

I've been dancing at the Century for over a decade. By far the best place to go dancing in Seattle. The teaching is decent, although I suspect Salsa Con Todo is better. I'd still recommend doing the lessons at the Century, so you can do the dance as well later that night. Thursdays are the best nights.

Robin and I are signed up too now.

Signing up by calling them ((206) 324-7263) was pretty easy. They said to show up 15 or 20 minutes early.

M sorry for not having a suggestion for a dance class for you but i sure have some help to style you up for a dance class if you happen to join one soon. :)

Breakbounce Spring Summer collection is out with a bang. Current international fashion trends and styles in casual men’s street-wear are making their way to India in this SS’13 range.

Was this spam? I couldn't tell. Seems like I only see partial discussions on this list.

If anyone is looking for advice on salsa dance classes in the Seattle area, let me know. I've been dancing salsa in Seattle and elsewhere for over a decade, and like many at LW, I've been known to have opinions.

Yeah, this was spam. This conversation is about a year old, which is probably why you don't remember it.

However, I would like more info about that salsa dancing thing you mentioned. Well... Any place I can learn to dance would be great- I have no idea how to do so.

Yeah, if people are up for some kind of dance class, I'd be interested. The Century Ballroom has swing lessons I've been meaning to go to.
