High potential Oracle Database Administrator

We are currently looking for Oracle Database Administrator to assist us in the implementation and the maintenance of Oracle Database technologies.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Hereunder a detailed list describing some of the activities/deliverables:

  • Install, patch, upgrade and maintain all Oracle Databases;
  • Implement backup & recovery strategy using RMAN, Data Pump, etc.
  • Implement Oracle High availability technology with RAC, Data Guard, etc;
  • Facilitate and actively participate in all phases of a project development life cycle: include requirements gathering and analysis, solution design and development, testing and implementation, post-production support and evolution;
  • Help customer on benchmark to identify bottlenecks, and provide guidance on tuning and optimization of Oracle Database;
  • Be able to write accurate and concise technical documentation;

 

Required skills:

  • Ability to work and communicate in an international and multi-cultural environment;
  • Strong interest in supporting and maintaining complex, mission-critical and highly secure databases.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL ANSI;
  • Basic knowledge of shell scripting on Unix-like operating systems
  • Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities;
  • High degree of initiative, accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail;
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude under stressful circumstances;
  • Professional approach when dealing with internal and external customers, including clear and concise written and verbal communication skills;
  • Fluent in English

 

Desirable skills:

  • Team spirit;
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to change in a complex global organization;
  • High aptitude for learning and high degree of self-motivation;
  • Acquire new competencies and accept new challenges;
  • French or Dutch language skill is a plus.

Availability:

  • Ability to work during the weekend and outside Office hours for planned interventions and On-Call role;

Job Description

 

Worldline is seeking an experienced senior level Oracle Fusion Middleware Administrator to join our Business Infrastructures department within the Merchant Services Operations. In this job, your core responsibility will be to administer and maintain the Oracle Fusion Middleware platforms running the Extranet/Intranet portals and the internal Identity and Access Management tools (Oracle IDM/OAM). Maintenance encompasses, but is not limited to the design/architecture input, patching, upgrading, performance tuning, installation, and configuration of Middleware applications to keep the platform compliant with payment industry standards (PCI-DSS, …) and maintain standards and consistent processes.

 

Our Extranet/Intranet and IDM platforms are based on Oracle Fusion Middleware applications, which include:

·         WebLogic Server (WLS)

·         Oracle Identity Manager (IDM)

·         Oracle Access Management (OAM)

·         Oracle Forms and Reports Servers

·         Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)

  • Help customer on benchmark to identify bottlenecks, and provide guidance on tuning and optimization of Oracle fusion middleware platforms
  • Be able to write accurate and concise technical documentation;

     

    Required skills:

    • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience on Oracle Fusion middleware administrator positions;
    • Ability to work and communicate in an international and multi-cultural environment;
    • In-depth knowledge of Oracle Weblogic, Oracle Identity Management (IDM) and Oracle Access Management (OAM) with production support experience in a multi-projects environment;
    • Strong interest in supporting and maintaining complex, mission-critical and highly secure Oracle fusion middleware platforms.
    • Oracle fusion middleware performance and tuning skills including server configuration and tracing facilities;
    • Basic knowledge of SQL;
    • Experience with Unix/Linux in a multi-domain environment including shell scripting;
    • Basic knowledge of Oracle database administration
    • Knowledge of Enterprise User Security (EUS) and Oracle Enterprise manager is a plus;
