The proposed European Copyright Directive poses a great risk for free software and its development. The Legal Affairs Committee (JURI) of the European Parliament will be voting June 20th and 21st on whether or not to continue to allow us to build software online, together. Members of the European Parliament want to turn upload platforms like GitLab into "censorship machines" that require user-uploaded materials to be monitored and automatically filtered, a process which would prevent modified and reused code from being uploaded. This provision is covered under Article 13 of the Copyright Directive. If Article 13, embedded within the proposal, becomes official policy, it will be impossible for developers to build off of one another's code -- which is not only a blow to the collaborative development of free software, but a push against the basic freedoms of free software. Software isn't free unless it can be modified and shared. Article 13 will affect all users of free software -- as development of free software suffers, the quality and availability of updates, new features, and new programs will also suffer. Bună ziua,

Ca de obicei, soluția problemei stă în ceva ce putem face FIECARE DINTRE NOI. Trebuie doar să vrem!

Indiferent cât este de modest computerul pe care îl aveți, indiferent dacă folosiți Windows sau GNU/Linux, puteți instala pe el un mic server IPFS.

E o treabă de 5-10 minute, maximum, chiar și pentru un nespecialist IP.

Apoi puteți PUBLICA cu el acele fișiere pe care le aveți pe harddisk și pe care doriți să le oferiți și altora. Când zic „să publicați”, cuvântul este folosit în sens propriu: nu dați serverului IPFS decât acele fișiere pe care le doriți PUBLICE, pe care le puteți pune (în mod legal), la dispoziția ORICUI (chiar și a unui străin absolut!)

Vom putea schimba fișiere între oricare două computere de pe planetă, la
fel de simplu ca și un click pe o adresă web...

Buna ziua,

Nu neg ca "the Internet has its ways" si ca se gasesc metode prin care putem combate masuri de cenzura de genul acesta, dar chiar vrem sa ajungem in situatia asta?

Chiar vrem sa le permitem alesilor nostri sa adopte astfel de legi in deserviciul nostru, cu incalcarea drepturilor fundamentale si a valorilor democratice?

Va invit nu numai sa va alaturati campaniei SaveYourInternet.eu pentru a le spune europarlamentarilor inainte de 4 iulie ca nu vrem un Internet controlat si cenzurat, dar si sa raspundeti la consultarea publica lansata de Comisia Europeana pentru combaterea continutului ilegal online.

Nu se multumesc doar cu filtre de continut, vor control deplin asupra a ce publicam online. Aici gasiti un ghid de raspuns.

In privinta "reformei" copyright, la ApTI suntem in prima linie cu o campanie si actiuni impotriva articolelor daunatoare din propunere. Prevederile limiteaza libertatea de exprimare, ofera editorilor de presa controlul asupra informatiilor pe care le poti accesa si materialelor pe care le poti cita, afecteaza mediul educational si posibilitatea de a exploata texte si date (text and data mining).
