LVL1 does not take CRT’s as donations. Your best bet is to take them to

Louisville Waste Reduction Center
636 Meriwether Avenue (map it)
Hours of Operation:
Tuesday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM
Saturday 8 AM to 3 PM.

They take TV’s and there as well.

Subject: {LVL1} use for CRT monitors?

I've got 4 old CRT monitors in generally good working condition -- 1 of them has some scratches on the screen's glass, and 1 occasionally acts like it has a scrambled signal for a few seconds before it corrects itself, but other than that all 4 work great.  I'm not using them at all.  Are they just junk?  I'm looking either for suggestions about what they (or their component parts) could be used if I keep them, or for someone to say they would be a better-than-completely-useless donation to LVL1.

Now that I think about it, I've got an old not-really-working inkjet printer and maybe a large CRT TV as well (if I can convince my wife we'll never use it again).  Same question -- do they have any value to me or to LVL1 folks, or are they just junk taking up storage space?

Thanks,
