Hey.  on a mission, and thought i'd check here as well.

Trying to do a sample project. As a goal, take a webApp/open source, and then use AI to "replicate" it so to speak.

I'd like to start at the beginning, and build a similar app. If I can succeed in that, I'd then like to be able to say "clone appX" and see if I can more or less clone an app.

Ok, that's the "goal".. to get there.. I've got to backup to the beginning.

Which means, I need my yoda. I need to understand prompts (good/bad/etc..)how to ask, how not to ask.. How to craft prompts to stay on course. How to figure out how much of the underlying tools/stack would be used in the creation of the test app.

In other words, I'm looking to sit with someone whos doing this to learn.

So, I'm asking here to see if anyone knows any  person/team/org/etc who's doing this that you can pass their info to me. I'm willing to discuss some form of payment for the knowledge.

Also, if I find this person, would anyone else be interested in going down this road to enlightenment!!

thanks

bruce

ps.
I'm trying to call companies, gov tech operations, colleges, etc..

I tried to call the one company listed on the louisville gov site -- pdf for permit procescessing.. and it lists no number..!!!

This shouldn't be this hard!

There’s a young guy named Chris pirillo that makes a bunch of web apps and vibe codes using Claude. He is Pacific Northwest based so not local.

He has created a lot of neat web apps at the link above, for example, one app takes your hand written letters and makes them into a digital font.

He cofounded twitch.tv/makerdeck ; a live stream for makers and 3D printers and he streams his work on various AI aided projects at twitch.tv/chrispirillo

Check it out, see if there’s something you can get from it. He may be open to collaborating or discussing some of your ideas.  I don’t know honestly. Couldn’t hurt to reach out.

Hope that helps,

Paul
