I am an IT assistant for Bachman Auto Group and we have replaced almost all of our PC's in the last year or so.  I have some motherboards (mostly designed to fit core 2 duos and core 2 quads and missing I/O shields), cases, RAM (ddr1 and ddr2) of various sizes, a few old laptops (without hard drives), a few desktop PC power supplies and a couple optical drives.

I was wondering if I anyone at LVL1 would have any use for them.  I don't want to sell them as I salvaged them from work and that just feels wrong.

Feel free to contact me at kest...@gmail.com or at kestin...@aol.com if they can be of any use for entertainment or education.

Thanks.

Unless you hear anything from Muddy Tech the only thing LVL1 can use are the power supplies.  PC power supplies are great for projects: just short two wires, cut off what you don't need and it's a nice little box that supplies multiple voltages.  The last few times I've needed one the pickings were pretty  sparse so we can use some more.

You can actually bring them down, and what is not used goes into the big electronic recycling bin for the electronic recycling company to pick up - Muddy tech takes pentium four or higher parts, flatscreen monitors, laptops- they do repair some computers, so they may be able to use parts. If they are here, they can sort and dispose.

Nothing but the best,

Is there a best time/day to bring everything down?

We have our open meetings every Tuesday at 8pm; tonight we're having a delicious BBQ chicken slow-cooked crock-pot taco/nachos dinner after the (usually pretty short) meeting.

Generally evenings are a good time to find someone here at the space to open it up to the public; the space is closed when no members are present.
