{LVL1} Metal working update

The new benders are here and setup in the dead room.  The ring roller just needs to be bolted to the pedestal and everything's good to go.

I used the metal band saw last night and it needs some TLC... right now it works if you support the end so it doesn't try to bite off more than it can chew.  It think if we got a newer spring for it it would work a lot better.  

Lastly, we have one welding screen mounted in a frame.  If anyone has some spare time before I get to it there are two more screens that need frames, one 6'x6' and one 6'x8'

Is There going to welding done in the dead zone?

If do , we will need to make a rule no welding no matter how small that a fire watch is there while it is being done, also what about venting fumes?

Good lord no!

I have seen fires get away from multiple fire watches, IN A STEEL SHIP
The building we are in is made of ancient wood. 1 spark, 1 tiny weeny hang fire
And all of our cool toys will be puddles in a hole.

(and the Fire Marshall will be planning to Skin the Landlord first, and Us second..........)

He made the welding screen frame in the basement using the new tube benders that is all he said.

Must be a new interpretation of the Phrase "...Is there going to welding done in the dead zone?..."

That I am not presently aware of.....
