Hi,

I saw that you use VCarve for your ShopBot CNC. I'm familiar with Fusion 360 and would like to use it instead. Reason being it is free to use and has a much more robust CAM setup.  Is there anyone at the space who has experience setting up Fusion 360 to work with your ShopBot?

Appreciate any help you can offer!

Best,
Brandon

Fusion can create .sbp files that the shopbot executes. I do not know of anyone that designs in Fusion for shopbot the Shopbot. As popular as Fusion is, you would think there would be tutorials for their customers on this? Are you experienced on CNC?

Great. That's what i wanted to know. I would be able to create the toolpaths from my home computer and then just transfer the .sbp file onto the shopbot with a thumb drive.

I don't typically design in fusion either. I typically design in blender and rhino, import model into fusion(typically .obj or .stl), and use fusion specifically for the CAM. The many different tool path options within fusion allows a much quicker and more precise finished product than what vcarve offers. I am very experienced on the cnc. Was a member at pumping station one in chicago for nearly 8 years and spent a majority of my time on the shopbot that they have . I've included some samples of my work.
 thank you

There may be other Fusion fans that would like to do as you have done. Would you care to share with like minded interested novices how you worked your magic, what obstacles you overcame, general advice?
