Bicycle chain brake and guidance

Hi all, I am at the space trying to make some custom length bicycle chain. I have all the chain but don't think I've found the right sized chain brake tool (i also have never messed with bicycle chain so I have no clue if what I'm doing is correct). If anyone one knows where the brake tools are and could let me know I'd appreciate it. Also if you have any experience with repairing bike chain and are really bored today, feel free to come up and show me all the things I'm doing wrong. :-)
