Subject: {LVL1} Any use for microwave parts?

Hi, my office has a microwave which mostly works but doesn't heat. Would Lvl 1 have any use for this? We'd be glad to donate it but would get rid of it if you guys wouldn't be able to use it (or wouldn't want it). Thanks!

The transformer, though dangerous, is very useful for fun high-voltage projects. The magnetron can also be used in some nottobementionedonthegroups high-energy projects.

Are these only microwave parts or are they working microwaves that nobody wants?  I've always wanted to do a light show with a bunch of microwaves stuffed with light bulbs or maybe a "Things you should not do with a microwave" workshop.

There is a series of you-tube videos of a fellow that disassembles the transformers and remakes them into very low voltage very high current transformers.  He makes a stick welder and a spot welder with the.metal melter
