Rain forecasted and splash pad at LVL1

Attention all, 

Be aware and please help me react to upcoming consistent rains as we have observed water entering the space near the laser at foundation and similarly in the wood shop seeping into the wall as well. See photos. 

I’ve gotten cables off the ground. 
Please support by replacing paper towels/ towels mopping during this weekend. 

I would like to have someone look at the Mr Cool unit to understand why it always leaks and wrecks the woodshop. Is this condensate? Is it not functioning to remove condensate properly? This has been a repeat issue at this spot only.

Kevin, does the leak for the minisplit leak all the time, or just during monsoon season?

I’ve sent alerts to the landlord awaiting reply. 

The laser area is definitely an urgent concern to keep up with based on last night. 

In wood shop the bricks may need resealed/ treated in some way. 

Larry, 

I think Mrcool leaks independent of monsoons and may need a good clean out from sawdust, if that suspicion is true, let’s take measures to check/ prevent (which we have with the dust mitigation efforts). 

If someone(s) feels capable to safely ladder and address, would be much appreciated and a benefit to all. 

It prevents us from storing anything valuable under, and has claimed at least one victim of the warped and rotted router table of years past- which I’m interested to rebuild and had drafts of a new table top cut on shopbot, but never saw that through…

Kevin, I’ll come by one night this week and service the mini split.  I’ll draw up some duct plans to move the return air away from the unit, and also allow better filter service.

Have received indication from landlord that he will investigate and make arrangements to address the entrance of water at the laser area/ wood shop walls. 

I’d also like to make sure to point out any other similar concerns including the window coverings in metal shop. 

Let me know of any new developments or concerns!
