to LVL1 - Louisville's Hackerspace
Hi I'm Justin/Linkreincarnate and I have a caravan of hackers/makers
that are going on a move/hackerspace tour. My wife Liz and I (and our
5 year old son Milo) are from Freeside Atlanta. AJ is from Noisebridge
We also have a very taleted musician who goes by Matt Dale and a
clothing designer/maker named Terman. Last but not least an all around
handyman named Rick. 7 people total.
We are moving to San Francisco and are touring hackerspaces/
interesting places along the way. We have an camper trailer but are in
need of places to park it and possibly hook up utilities for 1-2 days.
Additional sleeping space would also be helpful and more comfortable
but not entirely nessecary as we can sleep everyone inside what we are
traveling in. If we were to get sleeping space it would only be for
1-3 people and our child would always sleep with us in the camper.
We have your space scheduled as one of the possible stops on our
list. We are going to begin our trip next weekend. The plan is to
travel to the next place and then spend at least a day there before
moving on, meeting people and picking up skills/ideas as we go. (and
filling out our hackerspace passport) We are also going to be
recording the trip and blogging/ livestreaming when we have internet.
Because our time in each place may vary the entire trip will take 1-2
weeks so there is going to be a few days flexibility in our schedule.
Our first stop is Nashville on the 28th (next weekend) We were
planning on staying until at least Sunday evening.
The second stop would be Louisville we would plan to arrive sometime
around the 30th and we would stay for a day before heading out to
Kansas City on the 1st.
We would expect to arrive in Kansas City on the same day. We would
spend a day here before leaving for Denver Colorado on the 2nd.
we would arrive at Denver Colorado on the 2nd and would stay over for
the third (making a stop in Boulder CO) and leave the evening of the
4th.
From there we would arrive in Las Vegas on the 5th and stay for a day
to leave on the 7th.
We would arrive in San Francisco on the 7th.
Please let us know if you can accommodate us. We can skip towns as
needed but we need to know what spaces would like to have us stop by.

Hey Justin!
Sounds like you have a fun trip planned! We always enjoy meeting hackers from abroad and showing off LVL1. I can't speak confidently what accommodations LVL1 could provide. I'll leave that for our officers to discuss. Thank you for showing interest though. Hopefully everything works out!

Actually we have two fewer people than expected so we really dont need
any amenities. We can use our built in water supply and propane
powered appliances. All we really need is a parking spot.

so most of the people planning on attending have decided not to go.
We are cancelling the tour. We might do it later (in about 2 months)
but for now we will not be stopping by on our way to California...

You'll be putting up an antenna that's 1000 times too big.

That's unfortunate, but may be for the better? The biggest problem seemed to be parking. A local business owns the small parking lot we use with their permission. Local street parking wouldn't be a good idea either.Lastly, it's Derby time in Louisville and lots of events are going on. Post here again in 2 months and we'll help find a good solution. Until then, take care!
