2nd annual no holds barred pinewood derby

June 27 at noon at lvl1 hackerspace, we are having the 2nd annual no holds barred pinewood derby. 

Rules: no rules except these 3

1. Has to fit on the track in one lane in the starting zone.

2. Your car cannot destroy/alter the track.

3. Your car can not interact, mess with, or destroy competitors and/or their cars.

No, but we do put a pillow/padding at the end.

Since there might need to be guidance on rule #1.

Dimensions of starting area:

The distance from the front of your car to the back of your wheels is 8”. (Car can be longer, but the back will not start over the track)

The middle rail is 1&5/8” by a 1/4" tall. (That means the inner tire distance has to be more than 1&5/8" and the bottom of the car has to be more than 1/4" off the ground)

There is an 1&1/2" clearance on either side of the middle rail. (aka max width is 4&5/8”.)

There will be some sort of cushion/foam at the end of the track for breaking.
