Hey Everyone, I'm just leaving the space and someone has mechanically unlocked the front door and left it unlocked. I only have my RFID so if anyone with a key can swing by and lock it, that would be great.

Sidenote, it maybe worth discussing us having a policy that in order to leave the door unlocked for any length of time that we need to always use the RFID to do that. This just keeps anybody for forgetting to lock the door back as the RFID will just time out after a certain amount of time.

I believe there is such a policy.  Thanks for finding it Jon.

If Jon found this out this a.m, then it was likely unlocked all night.  Without being too harsh, this is really unacceptable.  Any idea who may have accidentally done this?  Or was it unlocked all day yesterday as well?

Thanks.

I think Jon was there all night.

John C. is on his way to lock it back.

I know who *has* been doing this. I've spoken with them about it. They
(or someone else in addition to them) keep leaving it unlocked. I
don't want to jump to conclusions when there are many people who could
possibly be leaving it unlocked.

I will be getting in touch with our lock guy to figure out what
options we have for disabling this feature. There's no reason that
this should be a continuing problem when the RFID entry system can
handle leaving the door open and automatically locking it back on a
time limit. Bear with me while I try to get a solution in place.

Bill S. will be disabling this functionality on the hardware lock, so
it can't be left open where someone can't re-lock it.

RFID access timed 4-hour unlock will still function normally.

Physical keys will still unlock normally.

Did not make it down today, but will get there sometime Friday to take care of the lock.
