Just wanted to bump the group on the Parallella Supercomputer project on Kickstarter.

I just visited the project on Kickstarter – now they are up to $706,083, which means that it still needs $43,917 for this Kickstarter project to go forward.

The deadline is Saturday, Oct. 27, at 6:00 p.m. EDT, so there are only about 25 hours to go at the time of this writing.

Why do I care?  Because I've made the $99 pledge myself, for which amount I shall receive my very own Parallella Supercomputer … but ONLY if the Kickstarter project reaches its goal. OK so this is really about a benefit for me, but could be one for you too.

Check out the kickstarter page.

Yeah, I saw this too. Potentially awesome, but not exactly in my area of
expertise. By my reconning, that little board aught to be able to sustain
roughly 64 Gflops, which is just surreal to me. Tickles my spidey-sense
in a way that Bitcoin did when I first heard about it, but I've also
learned not to dismiss new tech stories *solely* because they are
fantastic.

Yeah I'm pretty excited to get one of these! Two weeks ago, full
funding was looking unlikely. They just made it.
