OK such a deal. I found 2 old radio shack chips I am sure that someone would love to have.
First up the SP0256-AL2 allophone based voice synthesizer. It is in it's original package with the original technical sheet still in the pack with it.
Second up is it's companion the CT525A-AL2 text-to-speech controller IC.
the original radio shack catalog numbers are
276-1784
276-1786

These chips need a good home and some TLC to make them all they can be.
I am selling them for $0 to the person that wants them. :-)

I really just want to give them away. Let me know and next time I'm in Louisville I will drop them off at the space.

I used these chips for a talking Simon game that I made as a senior in college (1990)!  Project used a motorola 6801 and was wirewrapped.  Probably be a little easier to interface with an arduino.  I am too stacked up on projects right now to give these chips a good home, but if no one claims them, I will put them to good use eventually!

Alright Charles you got the chips. I am in Frankfort and work in the evenings. But I do come to Louisville on weekends a lot. So next time I am there I will drop the chips buy and put your name on them.

I live in Shelbyville and drive to Lexington just about every day ( Field Tech). Or I work at SOUNDTRONICS in Shelbyville if you are ever by. Just finishing up my 3d printer build, so the chips are greatly appreciated for my next project. Those catalog numbers bring back a lot of memories since I memorized Radio Shacks catalog at 7.
