Tony,
We are closely monitoring troubling developments in Europe, where Russia has amassed more than 100,000 troops on Ukraine’s border and surrounding areas. As Secretary of State Tony Blinken said today at the United Nations, “The most immediate threat to peace and security is Russia’s looming aggression against Ukraine. The stakes go far beyond Ukraine.” For the first time since WWII, we may soon see a land war in Europe. Meanwhile, Russia continues its propaganda and disinformation campaigns with threats against America, Ukraine, and other allies. The Biden administration has been clear that it supports Ukraine’s sovereignty and the NATO alliance, and it is exhausting all diplomatic efforts to avoid war and bloodshed.
The impending crisis between Russia and Ukraine has global security implications, which all Americans should understand at this critical time.
Join JDCA for a special briefing on the crisis in Ukraine on Wednesday, February 23 at 2:00 p.m. ET/11:00 a.m. PT. We will be joined by Rep. Tom Malinowski (D-NJ), one of the leading national security experts in Congress who recently traveled to Ukraine, serves on the House Foreign Affairs and Homeland Security Committees, and previously served as Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor in the Obama administration.
