5 towns and cities are currently included in the project: Vienna, Lodz, Skala, Nadworna, and Solotwina. There are many very useful features to this site including cadastral maps, lots of data on the 5 cities and towns currently in the data base, links to various data sources, just as Birth, Death and Marriage records, as well as family trees, etc.
Racheli and I have worked together over the years on a number of Skala projects including the SWIGGI site and a database of our members and the families they are researching.
Here is the list of board members:
https://simonwiesenthal-galicia-ai.com/swiggi_include/board.php Great company to be with. You will see a writeup of my background on this page. I was surprised to see how many publications and talks I have published or delivered just on Jewish genealogy as I put this list together for Racheli. You will note that the bio includes mention of the Skala website which Helene Kenvin and Max Heffler have developed with input from myself. I am biased but feel that our Skala website is one of the best sites for town research groups. You will note that I have a publication coming out in a few days in Dorot published by JGSNY. The title is "The Evolution of Landsmanschaftens." My work on the Skala Research Group forms most of the basis for my work on the 15 different town research groups that I have worked with. I am indebted to all of you for inspiring all of my work on these projects.
