Issue with Explore Page on LVIS Dataset Website

Hello LVIS Dataset Community,

 

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to bring up an issue I've been experiencing with the LVIS Dataset website's Explore page. It seems that the Explore page is currently blank and not displaying any content. I rely on this feature for my research, and its absence is causing some inconvenience.

 

I'm not sure if this issue is specific to my setup or if others are facing the same problem. If anyone else has encountered this issue or has any information about it, please feel free to share your experiences or insights.

 

Additionally, if there's anyone from the development team or the community who can assist in fixing this issue, your help would be greatly appreciated. Having a functional Explore page is crucial for researchers like me who rely on the LVIS Dataset for their work.

 

If you have any suggestions, workarounds, or information on when this issue might be resolved, please don't hesitate to respond to this post. Hi Francis,

unfortunately we no longer have the AWS resources required to host the explore functionality and this problem will not be resolved. (Removing the explore tab is on my todo list.) If you need something like the explore functionality for your research, I recommend downloading the LVIS images and annotations and running something similar in a jupyter notebook on your local computer or cluster. You can adapt this notebook for viewing COCO annotations to get started: https://github.com/cocodataset/cocoapi/blob/master/PythonAPI/pycocoDemo.ipynb.
