The DLC currently at 45% off in Epic Store are most likely not steam keys, so for anyone who bought terror or survivor expansion pack FROM EPIC, did it come as a code in email or otherwise (that you redeemed via in-game DBD menu), was it activated only on the Epic platform (no code or input required) or was it via a steam code from an email?
Have not bought yet, trying to understand cheapest route and what will actually work: I own the game via steam, and have linked the epic and behavior accounts correctly. The DLC packs are nearly 2X the cost via Steam, just trying to save money.
If you want cheaper characters just buy Auric Cells on Epic and buy the characters there. Seems you managed to get connect your BHVR account so all stuff will show up no Steam too. Also true some DLC are cheaper slightly then AC buying, but I'm not sure it will transfer DLCs to Steam. That's the reason I buying stuff with AC only, all the time. If I ever migrate from Epic don't lose any stuff.
I don't work or have any association with EA. I give advice to the best of my knowledge and cannot be held responsible for any damage done to your computer/game.
Please only contact me via PM when asked to do so.
i mean, if you buy a dlc for sims on steam or epic, does it appear in your ea app like a regular game would? for example if you buy fifa on steam you can open it throw the app, and it says acces via steam
So I have some free DLC's for sims 4 through my EPIC games account and I was wondering if theres a way to get them onto my sims game which I already have bought and downloaded through origin/ea? Would I have to undownload the game through EA and then download it from epic in order to get those DLC's into the game?
Hello! Recently I saw an advertisement/promotion that Epic Games is giving away a free DLC bundle for the Sims 4. I have the Sims 4 and several other DLCs installed through the EA App (previously Origin) on my PC. My question is, if I claim this free DLC bundle from Epic Games, is there any way to combine those packs with my current ones? Or will it function as two separate games; the one from EA and the one from Epic Games.
Can someone explain me please, exist any advantages or disadvantages between Warframe on Steam, and official Warframe client? Today first time I saw Warframe on Steam, and Prime Access costs 2x less than on official Warframe page. On Epic Games is cheaper too, but not that much as on Steam.
You should still get all the Prime Access stuff.
But I didn't know the price differs for some contries? For me it's the same on all stores. (There might be some price differences between Pc an console, due to having different bonus stuff like the amount of platinum)
Doesn't make a difference since your game progress is tied to you e-mail/DE account.
So you can start WF via Steam, next time via Epic, next time via the standalone and you'll always have your games progress.
No differences, but you need the Steam version to buy Tennogen cosmetics (you can unlink afterwards and keep the cosmetics) and the Steam market place cosmetics (like the rubedo and phased skins; if you unlinked here you'll lose access till you relink again (iirc. has been a while since i did this). You can also link to another WF account and have the rubedo/phased skins there, but iirc you can only be linked to one account at the time.
Same goes for the Epic version. You could claim the "unreal tournament" skins and swap back to the other versions and still have access to them.
Your warframe progress is stored by DE and you won't lose it once you unlink your steam account.
The Steam achievements are stored by Steam and you can only unlock them via a linked Steam game.
So Steam won't know the stuff you already did (like doing your first missions, install a mod, etc.). You would have to create another WF account and play via the Steam launcher to unlock those in Steam again. Same goes for unlinking, once you unlink Steam can't keep track of it and it wont unlock.
(But no matter if linked or not, you can see your WF accounts achievement in your profile anyways (called challanges and require the same tasks as the steam achievements) and those are stored by DE.)
For those who already claimed Hitman 2016 back when it was free on the EPIC games store can also link their account by downloading and installing Hitman 2016, and link/change their email inside the game (Options > IO account or something like that) make sure you use the same email that you did for Hitman 2 (2018) and intend on using for Hitman 3 (2021)
This is what I did yesterday after not figuring out how to do it, already had my steam account linked but not my EPIC games account.
I've already open -crossplay in my server. But before update 311.99 EPIC and Steam can play together but now when I got update EPIC can't join my server and only steam can join while -crossplay is working
I have 2 users on Epic version that are having the same problem after the update. I have tried everything I could find to fix it but nothing has worked. All Steam users can join just fine and Epic users on the LAN with the server can also join without problems. Remote Epic users cant join.
I see other server in unofficial in used the same program (ARK Server Manager) but thier player can join and play but for me . . . have tried every way to fix it (change port , change router , forward new port , chang ip , reinstall program , reset world , create new world , turn off firewall and many way but what ? nothing has worked)
Same issue here. I am an Steam user who is hosting an unofficial server for my Epic Only Friends. Everything was fine until 311.99. After that update my friends couldn't join and would always get the "Connect Timed Out" message. This is kinda annoying because. We just want to play when there is an pandemic going on in the world and we have nothing to do.
One of my players that was on Epic Store version of the game bought the game on Steam and can join with no issue. This is 100% an issue with the Epic version. The exact same computer can connect with steam and not epic. So there is no server, port, isp, or any other issue besides the platform the game is installed from. Wildcard, please fix the Epic Store version of the game. The same user was able to connect prior to 311.99-311.111 (June 16th updates) but not after updating.
For my own server, we don't use a password but instead use Exclusive Join and do not use Multihome because I had issues with Epic users having issues connecting from outside the LAN with Multihome enabled.
Multihome sets the network interface address for the dedicated server, if you're going to connect to it locally as well as from the "wan" side you need this setting. In ASM it's the "Local IP" box under Administration. I don't think it matters, but I did try this with both settings (let server pick and picking a specific local IP).
When I was testing, I did try adding both the user's Steam64 ID as well as the Epic "Account ID" that can be found on your account info page to all of the join boxes and it didn't help the issue any. Steam clients could still connect, Epic clients time out.
The easiest way is to use ASM. You can open the RCON Window and right click on players on the list to the right side of the window to "Copy ID". Those IDs are what works with Exclusive join, not the Epic account ID, not the "Copy Player ID" button.
If you don't use ASM, then it is a bit of a hassle but can still be done. You have to look in the server's Saved\SavedArks sub directory for the player associated with a 19 digit number file. The easiest way to find who the player is would be to open the file in notepad (be very careful not to save) and CTRL-F for PlayerName or bFirstSpawned. The player name comes after PlayerName and StrProperty but before bFirstSpawned. If the player name is who you want...congrats, the 19 digit number is the player ID for that player.
