Review of actions from last meeting
======================

ACTION 2011-03-01 ALL to contribute to 2.1 testing
-Requested that anyone able to help tests with RC2 ONGOING
ACTION 2011-08-16 Jones to confirm whether any 1.8.x fixes are needed in order to support interoperability with 2.1
-Whamcloud using 1.8.6-wc1 in release testing; will check whether it is possible to use earlier 1.8.x releases [confirmed after meeting that several interop fixes were checked into 1.8.6-wc1 so this is the minimum version required] COMPLETE

Testing update
==============

-TACC no progress this week
-ORNL RC2 testing over the weekend; LU573; sanity 27a\27b new failures to RC1 but configuration changed due to imperative recovery testing
-LLNL not too much to report yet
-Cray still getting setup; preliminary results ok
-Whamcloud progressing through release testing on RC2

Blocker update
==============

-no blockers

-Whamcloud are concerned about upgrade\downgrade path and asked who has tested this; Cray have tried upgrading 1.8.4 and found that some settings were not preserved; Whamcloud requested that Cray focus on this area first in RC2 testing and report findings

ACTION 2011-09-20 Cray to test upgrade\downgrade testing for RC2

-Xyratex suggested LU587 might be considered as a blocker; this is a long-standing race that can occur during MGS failover; Xyratex have been hitting this 100% of the time in their testing; Oleg is concerned that the proposed patch does not address the issue; Xyratex report that it has greatly reduced this issue in their tests

ACTION 2011-09-20 Jones to assess whether LU587 should be considered a release blocker

Next meeting will be at 9:30 AM PT on October 4th. No call September 27th due to EOFS workshop. Please send suggestions for agenda topics ahead of that time.

Regards

Peter
