Review of actions from last meeting
======================

ACTION 2011-03-01 Xyratex to explore whether any existing Xyratex 2.x patches are appropriate for inclusion in the 2.1 release
-no update ONGOING
ACTION 2011-03-01 ALL to contribute to 2.1 testing
-no developments this week ONGOING
ACTION 2001-07-19 Xyratex to test 128TB LUN support on RHEL6
-no update ONGOING
ACTION 2011-08-09 Jones to research whether LU80 can be added to scope for 2.1
-Seems more prudent to handle any requirements for interoperability as orthogonal to the release COMPLETE

Testing update
==============

-TACC no progress this week
-ORNL Many failures in testing but most (if not all) seem related to Gemini networking changes
-LLNL Focusing on LU563; this seems to be a pre-existing issue so not a blocker
-Cray no progress this week
-Whamcloud completed upgrade testing overnight; sorting through results to see whether any blockers

Blocker update
==============

-No blockers; hoping to tag RC1 soon; last call for landings before we freeze

AOB
===

-Cray asked whether any 1.8.x fixes were needed in order to support interoperability with 2.1

ACTION 2011-08-16 Jones to confirm whether any 1.8.x fixes are needed in order to support interoperability with 2.1

-Some discussion about Whamcloud's intention to produce 2.1.x maintenance releases; Jones clarified Whamcloud's release policy with quarterly bugfix releases for its designated maintenance release stream (currently 1.8.x) and six monthly feature releases (2.2, 2.3, etc); the maintenance release stream will move to a 2.x release at some future point

Next meeting will be at 9:30 AM PT on August 23rd. Please send suggestions for agenda topics ahead of that time.

Regards

Peter
