FW: PALCUS Sets Goal to Raise $10,000 for Scholarship Fund

Dear Friends, I’m forwarding this newsletter as a personal request.  It is on behalf of PALCUS and we are asking for donations of $10 – just $10 – to the PALCUS Scholarship Fund.   I know times are tough, so asking for much more doesn’t seem reasonable right now.  Donations can be made online, or mail a check to the PALCUS office: 9255 Center St., Suite 404, Manassas, VA 20110.  100% of your donation will go to the Scholarship Fund.

 

We also have many other programs that we are able to manage with little or no cost, other than our time, such as the student exchange partnership with MultiWay, the mentorship program, and websites to raise awareness of Portuguese artists and authors.

 

Why am I sending you this email?  Because I believe in the mission and purpose of PALCUS more than I have believed in any other organization.  And in the past 5 years, we have made tremendous strides with a very active, ALL-VOLUTEER board who dedicate so much time to implementing and managing existing and new programs, especially in our educational programs.  As you can imagine, foundational support continues to decrease because of the economy, and we need local community support now more than ever.
