I've upgraded from 4.13.1 (which worked faultlessly), to version 5.0.0 the program runs and starts ok! But the open button does nothing! However you can drag and drop a .STL file and it opens it and it slices it fine, however the "save to disc" button (for the GCODE file) again does nothing.. making the program useless.
Newbie here---I tried to work through the online account to see if I could save files on the cloud and pull them down elsewhere, but I can't. Have the exact same issue. Clearly the Linux/Cura/ChromeOS interfaces to not mesh. I'm sure there is a workaround for this issue---just need someone much smarter than I am to help out :)
Same problem. I have an Acer CB314. The install of Cura 5.0.0 went just fine. The program appears to run in every aspect, except clicking on the Open or File> Open does nothing. No dialog box appears, so I can't load or save anything. Upon starting the program from the Linux command prompt I get the following:
I've installed Cura 5.1.0 and this has the same issues as 5.0.0 can't load files if you drag a file onto it is loads however you cannot save the the sliced file...! I'm using the latest version of the chrome OS (Version 104.0.5112.83 (Official Build) (64-bit)) and Linux Penguin is up to date.. Any suggestions are welcome
Hello,
I am sorry this may be a stupid question but I can not save files on my desktop when using Blender. I was able to do it with 2.7 in the past. I using a mac running 10.15.6. Any help will be appreciated.
First off, welcome to the community, @megclay! Can you tell us the steps you perform when trying to save to your desktop? Also, do you get any error messages when you try to save to the desktop, and if so, what do they say?
There can't be much to misunderstand in this GUI. I have chosen to create a USB stick with a live version of Ubuntu, which will save files and settings from session to session, on the USB drive, right?
You can add it yourself. Edit the grub.cfg (usbpen/boot/grub/grub.cfg) file and add persistent just before the file= on the vmlinuz lines. And yes, your desktop will be part of the things which will be saved when things are working.
ISO formats changed about 14.04, making changes as suggested above more difficult (editable FAT filesystems can no longer be used on the USB). The best current way to make a persistent USB is to use the mkusb tool from mkusb download site. The mkusb-installer should set things up for you.
**You may also see an option to "Export" your document/file to a PDF in your File menu. You can use that option instead of following the "save as" instructions if you prefer. In addition, some programs allow you to choose Print and then select Save as PDF as the printer. Each of these methods will result in a new file in the PDF format.
I have a workflow that I set up as a macro for 15+ people to use. Currently they are each pulling 10+ reports per day and they are all set to save into the same folder. I'm not sure how to set it up so that each user can save to a different folder without going in and changing the save location in the render and creating 15 different workflows. I would like to avoid making 15 different updates anytime I change something in the workflow.
Sorry, I'm still a bit new to Alteryx. How would you use the Folder Browse tool in conjunction with the Render output? I have the Output mode on "Choose Specific Output File" and I am trying to use the update value tool to insert the correct file path, but I am having trouble getting it to go to a specific folder. It goes to one folder up from where I want it to save.
These are v1 game saves for all the mission in San Andreas. I used zmoonchild's The Ultimate Game Start, so all the possible side missions are completed from the start. No cheats were used while completing these missions. If you found any errors/mistakes/problems let me know.
PLEASE, feel free to Post any Mission Saves (with no Wasted/Busted stats) LINKS, that are permanently Hosted. Include the mission title that is currently completed, and any other relevant detail, like version number. that may help the Player to chose your save.
Since the PC has a topic for its saves, this one can be used for anyone who has a Hosted Game save for the Mobile/iOS/Android devices
Post the Save Download Link.
Do Not start a discussion about them, take that to PM, and use the "Like This" to show approvel.
Here are the first two.
ENJOY.
This is not an Apple-specific problem. Any decent OS in the past couple of generations will have compartmentalization of accounts and different levels of privilege. /Library is only writeable by root. You have to overcome that somehow. Even if you assume it is overcome, then how are you going to deal with multiple users potentially accessing the same files or folders at the same time? Apple generally assumes that Macs have on only a single account per machine. If they have more, then it assumes people are using the Mac App Store which handles software registration by user. Is Apple's assumption invalid? Do you really expect to have multiple users per machine? Realistically, how many of your users would ever be inconvenienced by having to enter a registration code multiple times for multiple users?
